Special service

Genomic vault special Service is our programme for individuals and families living with rare disease who need secure genome storage and controlled sharing but face financial or access barriers. We offer the special service at no cost for selected cases so that specialists can review the right data, at the right time, without friction.

If you or your clinician would like to be considered for GenomicVault Special, email admin@switzerlandomics.ch with a brief summary of the clinical context and whether you already have any genetic analysis complete. We will respond with practical next steps and a clear consent process.

Rare diseases are individually uncommon yet collectively affect a large share of society. Around 1 in 17 people will be affected by a rare condition at some point in life, which equates to more than 3.5 million people in the United Kingdom alone. The practical challenge is clear. Many people cannot reach expert teams, and their genomes are often not available to the specialists best placed to diagnose or treat them.

We support collaboration with pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners, and we value their role in research and diagnostics. We will do our best to link special cases with leading experts who are best suited to follow up.
